If, like me, you 50 and over, and that you survived! you say that you should be dead !!!

• Our cribs were covered with brightly colored paint containing lead.
• Nothing prevented us from entering a fork into an electrical outlet.
• There was no lids or caps proof safety of children on medication bottles, doors and cabinets.
• We were born in the era before the nurseries and pre-Pampers, before television, before penicillin, vaccine against influenza, refrigerator, frozen foods, photocopies, contact lenses, the pill, and …
• When we were walking on a bicycle, we do not portions of helmets! We were doing hitchhiking.
• We traveled by car with our parents never wear seat belts and the car was not equipped with air bags. A ride, sitting in the back of a van during a hot summer day, was common !.
• We drank water directly from the garden hose and not from a bottle. Horror !!!
• We ate cakes, real bread, butter and soft drinks with real sugar, but we were never overweight because we spent all our time playing outside.
• We shared a bottle of drink with friends, drinking straight from the bottle and nobody died.
• We spent hours building "soapbox carts" from scrap and then we went down a big hill to see us, traveled down, that we forgot to install brakes. After drifting in the bushes several times, we learned to solve the problem.
• We fell trees, we blessions the hands or face, we were breaking a bone or a few teeth and yet, no one was prosecuted for it all. It was only regarded as an accident. Nobody was to blame, but ourselves. Remember those "simple accident", if not laughing ?
• We fought with fists. We reap the black eyes and we learned to live together through our disputes. We made up games with sticks and tennis balls.
• Nous mangions des vers avec les fruits ramassés sur le sol et des tartes avec des fruits «non lavés» et malgré les avertissements, no additional hair has "grown" on our face and earthworms do not remain forever in our stomach.
• We went with friends to call them without first, we knocked at the door, or simply we entered the house to play with them.
• We left the house in the morning and played all day outside and we were only back before the streetlights come on. Nobody could reach us from the day, no cell phone or pager…
  Unthinkable at the moment!

In addition to all that we faced…

• We lived before the radar, Credit Cards, fission of the atom, the laser beam and pen, before dishwashers electric, Rotary kilns, blankets, air conditioning, clothing without ironing, before man walked on the moon.
• We do not know the Mac Donald, or instant coffee, smoking was fashionable and a seal prevented a tap dripping. The grass was for cows and coke was stored in the basement for heating.
• Young, we had never heard of FM, Word Processing, ovens microwave, Laser Platinum, or boys wearing an earring.
• A gay person (gay) was someone who put up the atmosphere in a meeting, Before 1948 Made in Japan was a sense of junk.
• A computer was someone who gave an ecclesiastical order, a bullet was a stray, mouse food for cats, and the web (Internet) was the sign of a household is ill.
• The parables in the Bible were not on the roofs. One site was a panoramic view.
• We do not know the Playstation, Nintendo, X-Boxes, or video games, there was no 99 channels on cable, no video, no cell phone, no chat Internet, the limit for older, we cobble together a crystal radio.
• Classroom, some students were not as good as the other; then, they could not bring the year and should again. The test results were never "adjusted" to reduce the gap between the best and worst. Horror !

Finally, our generation has produced the greatest "risk takers" of all time.

But we are also responsible for the generation of "neither-nor" (or student, or worker, or …), whose representatives believe that the old generation can not understand that young, striving to make them believe they have grown up in a different world, almost "primitive".

We must be a tough race, when you think about all the changes that have occurred worldwide and all the adjustments that we had to adapt.

No wonder we feel sure of ourselves and ready to face anything. We, after all, A Good Year, despite what the less 50 years may think.

Their generation is directly beneficial to both sides that good for the bad (Unfortunately they exist!)
Now what do they do to the other so defining prepare the next generation! Big question in relation to the great dangers of today's world and future ?
